About Ziggy
She's hot and she's cold, she's yes and she's no. Ziggy should have been Katy Perry's cat!
Ziggy is a girl, but when she was found, they thought she was a boy, and her tail zigged and zagged, and so she was given the name Ziggy. Ziggy's tail defies the laws of physics. We're not sure how it moves like it does, but it's mesmerizing to watch!
Ziggy is very food motivated. If you have food, you're her absolute best friend. If you don't then she'll decide at the time if she wants to talk to you or not. When she does want to be your friend, she'll have cuddles and purr and purr. When people aren't her thing she'll go and have a snooze under the bed or behind the couch.
She loves other cats, and loves playing with and hanging out with the other foster cats in her foster home. The dogs in her foster home don't phase her either.
She has an utterly adorable miaow, which when translated, roughly means "Do you have any food?"
She's fine with the teenagers in her foster home, but we're not sure how she'd go with small kids. We think she'd probably choose behind the couch!
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
