About River - 8 Week Old Kelpie X
🐾 Meet River - 8 Week Old Kelpie X
River is a bouncy, playful girl who absolutely loves to run! She has endless puppy energy and would thrive in an active home where she can stretch her legs and enjoy plenty of playtime, followed by a snuggle and smooch on the couch of course!
Despite not having the best start to life, River is already showing just how trusting and loving she can be with her people. She adores dogs of all sizes and would really benefit from having an older, well-mannered dog in the home to guide her and help her learn good behaviour. River is currently working on sit and stay as well as sleeping in her crate every night and will hopefully continue crate training in her new home
River is a very healthy little puppy who deserves to continue thriving in her home environment. She has been well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. She has met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with everyone.
She will grow up to be a medium to large-sized dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion, and playmate for River. If you do not have another dog to keep her company, there needs to be someone in the household who does not work full time.
River needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be a wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps.
River’s Ideal Home:
🐾 Must be an indoor family member, especially overnight
🐾 Committed to ongoing training, socialisation, and puppy school
🐾 Secure, puppy-proof yard and home
🐾 Would benefit from a friendly, gentle doggy companion or someone home regularly
🐾 be able to return to DRN vet for desexing at 6 months
