About Colby
Colby is a petite Husky boy who came to us from a local pound where he had been surrendered due to his owner moving. He can be a bit aloof, but he is gradually becoming more affectionate and trusting of his human pack.
He is quite a submissive fellow who loves to play with another dog who can tolerate his exuberance, but he is also happy chilling out on his own.
Colby is a bit underweight and wary of people around his food, so he will need an owner prepared to work on overcoming his resource guarding of his dinner bowl, but other than that he is a pretty easy fellow.
Colby is very interested in wildlife so a secure yard with gates and fencing at least 6 foot high is a must, and he would not be suited to a home with cats or other animals.
Colby will need:
* Any children to be at least secondary school age
* no cats, pocket pets or other animals
* a home on his own or with a canine companion of similar size
* daily walks, always on lead
* a reasonable sized yard with grass areas and an undercover area for shelter
fences and gates will need to be secure and at least 6 foot high
Arctic breed experience, preferably with Husky ownership, is required.
If you are interested in having Colby join your family and giving him the love he deserves, please apply!
Colby is not available for interstate adoption and is not suitable for apartments, homes with small yards or rural areas.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
