Donnie

Hi there, I’m Donnie! I’m 4 years old, and if I may say so myself, a rather striking fellow. My coat is a beautiful dark brindle, and I’ve been told more than once that I’m a very handsome boy.

Now, I’ll let you in on a little secret... sometimes the world feels a bit big and I can be unsure of myself. That’s when I look to my humans for a bit of reassurance to remind me that everything is safe and sound. With a kind word or a gentle pat, I relax straight away and my sweet, affectionate nature shines through.

I adore people and I love sharing snuggles, especially if I’ve found myself a cosy little nook where I can feel snug and secure. And here’s the fun part... once I’m comfortable, my cheeky, playful side comes out! I might toss toys around, zoom about for a bit, or just make you laugh with my silly antics.

Oh, and food? Don’t even get me started! I think food is one of the greatest joys in life, especially when it comes in the form of puzzles or enrichment games. I’m clever enough to figure them out, and it’s such fun for me.

If you’re looking for a loving, sensitive companion who’ll reward your kindness with loyalty, cuddles, and just the right amount of cheeky playfulness, I might just be your boy.

Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way!

All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested/treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
