About Gracie - 6 Month Old Kelpie X
Meet Gracie – Your Shy Little Shadow
Gracie is a 6-month-old Kelpie X with a soft heart, a gentle soul and very beautiful markings. She came into care from a difficult start in life and is still learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a family. Despite her rough beginnings, Gracie is incredibly sweet, clever, and affectionate once she feels secure. Right now, she can be nervous in new situations—loud noises, unfamiliar people, and busy environments can be overwhelming. That’s why we’re looking for a calm, patient home where she won’t be pushed too quickly and can continue to build her confidence at her own pace.
What You’ll Love About Gracie:
* Clever and eager to learn – food motivated and quick to pick up commands
* Crate trained and toilet trained
* Sweet, chilled, and affectionate once she warms up
* Great with other dogs
* Loves to fetch and relax in sunny spots
* Bird friendly, has met plenty of birds in the garden and doesn't mind them at all
* Can be left home alone no issues but would prefer a home with another dog
Gracie is the kind of pup who will thrive in the right environment—a home that sees her for the sensitive, loving dog she is, and supports her as she grows into the confident girl she’s meant to be.
Gracie’s Ideal Home:
- Calm environment with structure and routine
- Ongoing positive reinforcement training
- A family who will offer patience, reassurance, and gentle training
- Indoor/outdoor access - Gracie loves being close to her people
- A friendly, calm resident dog (or regular social time with other dogs) to help her grow more confident
- Children 9+ who understand dog boundaries
Gracie will be desexed before adoption and is currently in foster care in Chain Valley Bay, Central Coast (NSW). She is available for adoption throughout NSW. Her adoption fee is $700, and includes desexing, microchipping, two vaccinations, flea & worm treatment.
