Mahuta is a gentle soul who’d make the ultimate family companion. Mahuta is incredibly affectionate and lives for cuddles and connection. He’s especially wonderful with young children – calm, attentive, and gentle. He loves being part of whatever the kids are up to, without ever being too bouncy or overbearing. He’s calm, patient, and has a beautiful, kind presence that makes him a wonderful companion for little ones.

Mahuta is toilet trained, knows how to use a dog door, and is comfortable being crated when needed. He takes food very gently, showing lovely manners, and is well socialised with other dogs. His play style is soft and respectful, and he’d be happiest in a home with another friendly dog to keep him company. He walks well on the lead too. Mahuta does experience some separation anxiety, so having a canine companion—or a large family that’s home often—would really help him feel secure and loved.

One of Mahuta’s most charming features is his adorable little underbite. It gives him a unique and quirky expression that only makes him more endearing—just wait until you see it in person!
