About Clarissa
Meet CLARISSA, a stunning Maremma Sheepdog puppy with a coat as fluffy as a cloud.
This little sweetheart has all the hallmarks of her ancient Italian lineage, with a sturdy build, broad head, and expressive dark eyes.
Her thick double coat is not just for looks; it protects her well but requires regular grooming to maintain its lush appearance.
Clarissa has an intelligent and calm nature that makes her an ideal companion for anyone seeking a gentle and easy-going furry friend, who understands the Maremma's need for a job, even if it’s just looking after her family, and their independent way of thinking.
Though she's not demanding when it comes to exercise, she thrives when given a chance to socialize with other pets and people, particularly children. She's simply the best playmate for kids and would make an exceptional addition to a family that values loyalty and affection.
Clarissa's Maremma heritage means she's inherently protective of her loved ones, even from a young age. Expect her to be a little aloof with strangers for that is the Maremma way.
Preference will be given to homes committed to helping Clarissa reach her full potential through early socialisation and training.
Prior Maremma or other large dog experience will be an advantage. As always, secure fencing is a must.
Clarissa is offered for adoption under the terms of our Deferred Desexing Program, which means her adoption fee covers the cost of desexing when age appropriate, subject to terms and conditions.
If you are interested in meeting this lovely pup and can offer her a suitable, safe and loving forever home, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
