About Liza
🌸 Meet Liza – A Gentle Soul Ready for Her Second Chance 🌸
📍 Location: Flinders (Shellharbour), NSW
Name: Liza
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: Grey & White
DOB: ~1 January 2018
Microchip: 991003002917851
Liza’s journey is one of resilience and hope. Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, she arrived frightened, filthy, flea-infested, anaemic, and completely shut down. She had given up on people… but we never gave up on her.
Since then, Liza has undergone life-saving ear surgery, entropion eye surgery, and received the love and care she so desperately needed. She is now cancer-free, safe, and learning – slowly but surely – that she can trust again.
Beneath her shy exterior lies a sweet girl who enjoys gentle pats, belly rubs, and will even drool with happiness (she’s toothless, which makes it extra adorable!). She just needs someone who will give her the time and patience to continue blossoming at her own pace.
Liza’s ideal home is a calm, quiet, adult-only environment with a patient adopter who understands that love sometimes takes time. She’s happy to share her space with another gentle, cat-friendly feline.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
