Rosie (aka Rosy-Posy) is now available for adoption from NQAR for a second time after her original adopter became very unwell and was unable to care for her.
Rosie has recently had a skin cancer removed and has been given the all clear, however will require careful sun protection (she will be adopted with her sun suits) and regular skin checks with the vet. Early detection will mean quick and easier treatment. Rosie is the dog equivalent of many of us fair skinned Far North Qld residents!
Rosie LOVES people and is a gorgeous, sweet girl who enjoys cuddles and belly scratches. She has excellent manners and knows how to sit and will wait until told that she can eat her food. She loves playing with toys -especially tug of war.
Rosie currently sleeps in a crate next to her foster brother and often snoozes in there during the day too.
Rosie would do equally well as an only dog or with a doggy companion. She has not expressed any dominant behaviours and is happy to play with her doggy friends, but is equally comfortable just chilling with the human companions.
Although Rosie looks a bit fierce, she is anything but, so if you want a dog that looks like a deterrent but is just a big softie, Rosie is for you. She does have a deep and distinctive bark, but doesn’t engage in nuisance barking at the front fence (unlike her foster humans’ permanent dog)!
Rosie is ready to meet anyone who will return the love she has to give, and will happily keep you company and look adoringly into your eyes.
Rosie is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
