About Macey
Meet Macey — such a lovely young girl.
It looks like Macey’s start in life wasn’t the best, and she can be anxious in new situations and when meeting new people. Once she feels safe, though, her beautiful, trusting nature shines through. She’s affectionate, playful, and so rewarding to watch when she relaxes and comes out of her shell.
Macey seeks clear direction from her person. As a Border Collie mix she’s intelligent and will need regular mental and physical stimulation — training, games, and tasks will keep her happy and engaged. She’s very much a working-breed at heart and will thrive with structure, activity and a patient leader.
Because she can be unsure in unfamiliar settings, Macey will do best with an understanding, dog-savvy home that can guide her with calm, consistent handling. With the right person to build her confidence she will blossom and make an absolutely amazing companion.
Regarding cats: Macey is generally fine seeing cats but her instinct to chase is triggered if they run, so slow, managed introductions are essential. If you have resident cats, introduce them very gradually — keep Macey on lead or behind a secure barrier, reward calm behaviour with high-value treats, allow the cat to set the pace, and supervise every interaction until both animals are relaxed and predictable. If a household can’t commit to careful, ongoing management during introductions, a cat-free home is the safest option.

Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
