Our adoption process involves the applicant to come into our store and pass a care test and also demonstrate a full understanding of what is needed to care for the rabbit. We are here to educate and make sure the animal will be cared for correctly for life. ALL applicants must be approved by Nelly so please be patient if she is not working the day you come in. Our pets are guaranteed to be in good health at time of purchase.
You may return the animal to us for a full refund within 7 days providing it has been examined by a veterinarian surgeon with 48 hours of purchase at your own cost and found to have a disease or congenital defect which will significantly reduce the animal’s lifespan.

If the animal is returned to Nelly’s Ark for any other reason within 3 days of purchase you are entitled to a 75% refund of the original adoption price.

Our rabbits are fed Oxbow rabbit pellets, and quality oaten hay, it is best top continue with this food. Always ensure there is plenty of water & fruit and veg available.

By the pet store code of practice we do not have to vaccinate rabbits
There is no current vaccination for myxomatosis available in Australia, however a vaccination for calicivirus is available.
