Hazel Reba is a special needs adoption
She was born in care of a rescue.
Her brothers and sisters and mum have all found their forever homes but HAZEL is still looking
Hazel developed cat flu shortly after birth and after blood work and nasal swabs the cat flu variant calicivirus was isolated. Her symptoms are mild sniffles, occasional sneezing and clear nasal discharge occasionally
She received several extended courses of antibiotics which although helped she does and will have a life time issue with sniffles and sneezing. This virus is in her respiratory tract and her eyes are not affected. With yearly vet checks for her teeth and dental cleaning when required she will have a healthy life.
She is a typical torti girl with loads off sassy attitude, and can be very bossy toward other cats so she will only be adopted to a home with no other cats. Requires a stress free home with no children under 12
She is a sweet heart, loves to cuddle and smooch, and loves her food.
She has been small dog tested and again she can be bossy toward them and will swipe them if they invade her space
She had had several adoption application since her birth with a failed home trial due to small children been to rough and triggering stress related flu
Another planned adoption was cancelled when she had her desexing and vaccination procedures and her flu was activated for the first time. The adoptee did not understand about cat flu and management and declined to take her.
Fast forward 12 months and we are trying again 🤞🤞
Please do not apply to adopt her if you don’t understand the above information, if you financially can not provide yearly vet checks and future dental maintenance or treatment such as antibiotics if needed for flare up’s ( she has not required any since her initial long course treatments 8 months ago)
She would benifit a quiet stress free home where she can have the life she deserves
She must be 100% indoors and would love a secure out door enclosure experience
