Hector may seem brave at first – he's usually the first to step forward and check things out while his brother hesitates – but don’t be fooled: he’s actually the more cautious and emotionally sensitive. New environments can overwhelm him, and he tends to hang back and take longer to adjust.

Once he feels safe, though, Hector’s sweet, gentle side comes through. He enjoys calm interaction and will reward your patience with affection – just don’t expect him to rush into anything. While he’s not as food-driven as his brother, snacks can still help ease the process of building trust.

Hector and Heathcliff are the best of friends. They sleep together, groom each other, and miss each other when apart. It will be best if the pair can find a new home together or be adopted into a household with another feline friend.

Hector will do best in a quiet, patient household that gives him space to settle in at his own pace. With Heathcliff by his side and the right people around him, he’ll slowly and steadily come out of his shell.
