Meet Cyan, a young Mastiff x with the squishy face of an old soul and the heart of an oversized lap dog. She’s a medium-large girl (around 25kg) with a gentle spirit, a deep love for affection, and a knack for leaning lovingly into your legs just to say, “I’m here. I love you.”
Cyan has been in foster care since she was a tiny pup, the smallest of her litter, born with a urinary condition that made her incontinent. After a successful surgery and ongoing care, her incontinence is now almost a non-issue — she may very occasionally have a small drip, but it’s manageable and continues to improve. She’s had follow-up treatments to fine-tune the balance between her ability to pee comfortably and staying dry, and she’s handled it all with patience and grace.
But Cyan is so much more than her medical history.
This girl is pure heart. She’s loyal, affectionate, a bit anxious (especially in new situations), but always willing to trust you if you’re gentle and kind. She was the runt of her litter and was often picked on by her siblings, which has made her extra sweet and submissive. She will gently lift a paw to ask for tummy rubs, and would happily snooze in your lap all day — though she’s also fine curling up for a solo nap in the sun.
Her favorite things:
-Basking in a warm sunbeam 🌞
-Chewing on a toy (soft ones, preferably!)
-Tummy rubs and cuddles (she will ask politely)
-Leaning against your legs like a shadow with a heartbeat
Cyan gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes — she currently lives with foster siblings around 10kg and also plays well with larger dogs. She’d love a doggy friend but would also be content as the only dog in a calm, affectionate home. She’s curious about cats and will chase if they run, but if the cat holds their ground, Cyan is all waggy tails and friendly sniffs. A confident, dog-savvy cat would do just fine.
Other Good Dog Stats:
House-trained ✅
Food motivated & loves learning ✅
Sleeps soundly through the night ✅
Affectionate, polite, and gentle ✅
Still working on: lead walking – she’s enthusiastic and wants to sniff everything! A work in progress, but manageable with training and consistency.
What Cyan Needs to Thrive:
More than anything, Cyan needs to feel loved, safe, and part of a family. She bonds deeply and thrives on gentle affection and routine. A home with multiple people — whether a couple, a family with older kids, or housemates — would be perfect, as the more love she gets, the more confident and settled she becomes.
Ongoing positive training will be essential — not just to refine skills like loose-lead walking, but also to build her confidence and give her mental stimulation (which she adores!). She’s incredibly receptive to learning, especially when treats are involved.
After nearly three years in foster care, Cyan is finally ready for her forever home — and she’s so, so deserving.
