About Rufus
Looking for a sweet, soulful companion who just needs a little time (and plenty of head rubs) to blossom? Rufus is a charming ginger gentleman with a heart as warm as his coat.
He can be a bit shy at first and likes to tuck himself away in cozy spots (blankets are his favorite!), but with patience and kindness, he opens up into a loving, affectionate companion who adores head rubs and scratches.
Rufus would thrive in a calm home with adults or respectful, cat-savvy teens who understand his need for a gentle approach. Once he feels safe, he'll be right by your side, purring away.
If you're after a low-key, loyal kitty to share your quiet moments, Rufus might just be the one.
Adoption details
You no longer need to submit an online application to adopt a dog, puppy, cat, kitten or small animal.
Walk-ins are welcome at our Burwood East and Peninsula locations:
Burwood: Opening hours: 10am – 4pm
Peninsula: Opening hours: 10am – 4pm
For our Warrnambool and Wangaratta locations, please call the RSPCA shelters to book an appointment to meet our available animals:
