Buddy’s story is one of heartbreak, hope, and healing.

Over two long, cold weeks, this sweet boy slowly learned to trust again. Night after night, his rescuer sat with food in hand, gradually building a bond with a cat who clearly once knew love, but had been let down. This wasn’t a feral tom – Buddy rubbed up for affection, cried out for comfort, and eventually allowed himself to be gently coaxed into safety.

Today, Buddy is safe under a warm carport, living in a temporary pen with a big box for shelter and soft blankets for comfort. He’s gone from scared and unsure to seeking cuddles, rubbing up against his carer’s hands, and letting his soft, loving personality shine through.

Buddy has now been vet-checked, desexed, and cleared for adoption. We believe he was either dumped or lost as an undesexed tom and left to fend for himself. Whatever the backstory, it’s clear: Buddy isn’t wild – he’s just been let down.

Now, this sweet, clever, and affectionate boy is ready for a forever home where he will never be left behind again.
