Zara is a tiny, gentle girl who has been through more than her fair share, but she hasn't let it dull her sweet nature. This 10-year-old Chihuahua came into our care with several health issues, including a fractured back leg and a heart murmur. After multiple surgeries and lots of TLC, she's finally ready to find a forever home where she can truly relax and be loved.

Zara is looking for a calm, loving household where she can enjoy the simple pleasures in life-snoozing in sunny spots, exploring the garden at a gentle pace, and curling up on the couch for cuddles. She must be allowed inside and have access to soft furniture-especially for those all-important evening snuggles.

She's friendly with other quiet dogs when introductions are done slowly and respectfully, and she may also be able to live alongside a confident cat. Given her age and medical needs, a low-stress environment without young children would suit her best.
