About Jordy
Meet Jordy – Our Quiet Little Gentleman Looking for His Special Someone
When Jordy first arrived into foster care, we believed he might be a palliative case. But after a full veterinary workup, we were relieved to find his health outlook isn’t nearly as dire as we feared.
Jordy has two manageable medical conditions:
🩺 A grade 4 heart murmur, which has no symptoms and is easily managed with just half a tablet twice a day.
🦷 A small oral fistula, previously repaired, that now has a tiny opening which isn’t causing him any issues. Due to Jordy’s age and heart condition, our vets agree that further surgery would pose more risk than benefit.
Born in 2009, Jordy is certainly a senior, but he still enjoys a lovely quality of life. And we believe this gentle boy deserves a quiet home where he is the centre of attention.
Right now, Jordy shares his foster home with multiple other dogs—as many rescue dogs do. While we give each of them love and care, it’s just not the same as being someone’s one and only.
We know it’s tempting to think Jordy should stay where he is—and of course, we’d love to keep every dog that comes through our doors. But fostering means making room to help the next soul in need. For Jordy, the right forever home would be a peaceful one.
Here’s what Jordy is like day-to-day:
🐾 Quiet as a mouse—he rarely barks
🐾 Loves being close to his people
🐾 Enjoys pottering around the garden
🐾 Sleeps soundly on the bed all night long
🐾 Eats with great enthusiasm (he has 3 meals a day!)
🐾 Likes short, gentle walks but tires after about 15 minutes
🐾 Loves to be held and cuddled
🐾 Hearing is still sharp, and he recognises you up close
Who Jordy is looking for:
✨ A calm, child-free home
✨ No other pets (or at least none who will bother him)
✨ A retired person or couple—someone who is home most of the time
Jordy is ready for his happily-ever-after. If you think you might be the calm, loving presence this sweet boy deserves, please fill out our adoption application. If we feel it’s the right fit, we’ll be in touch.
