About Pearl
Pearl is a beautiful, affectionate girl who is ready for a fresh start in life. Coming from a domestic violence situation, it appears sadly that she has likely endured both emotional and likely physical trauma. Despite this, Pearl’s heart is wide open, and she is looking for patient, understanding people who can offer her the stability and love she deserves.
Pearl thrives on companionship and forms strong bonds quickly. She adores being with her humans and would love a home where someone is around most of the time, or where she can tag along on outings. She’s happiest when she’s close to her person, snuggled in a blanket, enjoying cuddles, or showering her family with affection.
Playful and energetic, Pearl enjoys walks (note she is strong on lead), toys and enrichment activities to keep her body and mind busy. She is eager to please, responds well to praise and has a joyful, spirited nature.
Pearl would do best in a home with a calm, friendly male dog to help her feel safe and provide companionship. She is currently on medication for anxiety, as she will stress and self-harm if left alone. With time, patience, and commitment, Pearl is slowly learning to trust that her people will be a permanent fixture, but this will take consistent support over several months.
Pearl is a truly loyal, loving, and lively companion who, given the right home, will blossom into the most devoted friend you could ask for.
