About Tyson
Tyson is a one year old long coat German Shepherd whose owner surrendered him to a Sydney Council due to their medical issues.
Tyson is a bit shy when he meets someone but warms up and then wants cuddles. He will need more training as he still pulls on a lead when being walked.
Tyson hasn't lived with another dog, so we aren't sure how he would go with another dog in the same home, and he hasn't been tested with cats or pocket pets.
Being a large breed dog we are seeking a home who have owned and have had experience with a large breed dog or preferably a German Shepherd dog.
We always recommend to continue training when you take your dog home. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long and is a great way for you to bond with your new dog.

If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive to Sydney with your family. If for any reason he doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for looking after him and helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. We are still waiting to confirm when he was last vaccinated. We will worm him and get him desexed once we take into our care.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
