About Biggy SUA013248
Meet Biggy, a fantastic senior gentleman who embodies the perfect blend of curiosity and affection. This absolute sweetheart may be advanced in years, but his inquisitive spirit keeps him young at heart. Biggy is the kind of guy who will explore every corner of your home, making himself comfortable wherever he goes while ensuring you're never far from his loving gaze.
As a seasoned feline, Biggy knows the true value of companionship. He's affectionate, always eager for a gentle pat or an ear rub, and he loves snuggling close during relaxation time. Whether you're enjoying a quiet evening or tackling your daily duties, Biggy will be right there, a faithful companion offering you his steadfast support and warmth.
Biggy thrives in a peaceful environment where he can bask in the sunny spots around the house or curl up in a cozy nook. He's the perfect match for those who appreciate the charm and wisdom that comes with a senior. If you're looking for a loving and gentle companion who will fill your days with warmth and joy, Biggy is ready to join your home.
Medical notes
Due to his age, Biggy has signs of arthritis, mainly of his hindquarters. He is on anti-inflammatories and gabapentin for pain management and appears to be coping quite well. There are supplements that can be given for arthritis management as well as arthritis injections (off label in cats). This can be discussed and managed with your regular vet.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
