About Harriet
Say hello to the darling Harriet.
This sweet girl is looking for a patient, loving forever family to help her build confidence and feel safe in the world. Harriet hasn't had the easiest start and can be quite shy and nervous with new people and environments. The world can feel a little big and scary for her, but once she trusts you, her gentle and affectionate nature truly shines.
Harriet hasn't had much experience with other dogs and will need to be the only dog in the home. She'll benefit from ongoing, force-free training to help her learn that other dogs aren't so frightening. She's also not suited to a home with cats or pocket pets.
Because she can be unsure at first, Harriet would do best in a home with secondary school-aged children or adults who understand the importance of going slow and letting her warm up in her own time. All children must attend a meet and greet prior to adoption.
Harriet loves being close to her people and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. She absolutely adores treats (the way to her heart!) and, once comfortable, has plenty of energy that will need both mental and physical outlets.
If Harriet has tugged at your heartstrings and you're ready to give a shy girl the second chance she deserves, come in and meet her today.
