About Winton
Winton is a stunning cream-coated Border Collie x Kelpie with a beautiful big heart. At just under 2 years old, he’s still discovering the world and he’s doing it with gentle curiosity and growing confidence.
This beautiful boy has an incredibly affectionate nature and adores his foster humans. He’s a professional cuddler who loves nothing more than being close to the people he trusts. Winton is fantastic with children, friendly with other dogs, and while he’s curious about cats, he shows no signs of aggression or chasing - just interest.
Like many working dog mixes, Winton can be a little anxious in unfamiliar environments or when faced with new sounds and experiences. But each day in foster care, he’s learning and blossoming. He’s gaining confidence with every walk, every cuddle, and every new thing he masters. He’s progressing wonderfully on the lead and is responding well to gentle guidance and consistency. He knows how to sit and drop.
Winton would thrive in a calm, loving home with people around most of the time. He needs a family who understands working dog breeds and can offer him both the structure and affection he craves. In return, he’ll reward you with unwavering loyalty, snuggles, and the joy of watching him come into his own. Winton is crate trained and sleeps well overnight in the comfort of this environment.
If you’re looking for a sweet-natured companion with so much love to give—and you're ready to help him continue his journey—Winton may be the perfect addition to your family.
Winton is located in QLD.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au

We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
