About Nick
Meet Nick, a calm and gentle soul who's ready to enjoy his golden years surrounded by love and tranquillity. Nick is a quiet, respectful dog whose relaxed demeanour will bring a sense of peace to any home. His ideal day consists of leisurely strolls and engaging play sessions with toys, especially if there's a ball or stuffed animal involved.
While often content with a quiet routine, Nick occasionally delights in a good zoom around the yard, showcasing his playful side. Although navigating the world can be daunting for him at times, he continues to grow in confidence, thanks to the ongoing love and support from his cherished human companions. His walks are mostly serene, with just a hint of excitement when he encounters other breeds.
Nick would be happiest in a home where he can have a predictable routine to look forward to each day. His endearing nature is best suited to families with children over six, who can gently respect his space. Nick's welcoming demeanour might just extend to some calm and confident doggy companions, especially if they're fellow greyhounds or medium to large-sized dogs that can help him explore the world without fear.
Whether you live in an apartment or a home with a modest backyard, Nick will be at home with an environment that provides comfort and stability. He's the epitome of love and loyalty, eager to share his gentle heart with a new family who cherishes the quieter joys of life. Will you be the one to provide Nick with the retirement he deserves?
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Has had a dental clean recently and is fully up to date on worming and vaccinations.
Adoption details
Step 1: Please contact Anna Rogers, Dog colony supervisor (anna.rogers@tafesa.edu.au) for an application form.
Step 2: Return the completed application form to Anna Rogers. Once we receive your completed application form along with a minimum of 5 photos of your property showing various views of your backyard covering gates, fences, shelter areas for the greyhound and any other area (i.e. inside the house) the greyhound will be residing in. This is so we can assess your property as safe and suitable for a greyhound and match you to the dog that best suits your environment/lifestyle.
Step 3: We will match you with the dog best suited to your situation and lifestyle.
Step 4: A meet in greet will occur with all family members including any existing pet dogs. If everyone gets along and the application is successful, the dog will then be collected at an agreed later date.
Step 5: Collect the dog and shower them with love!
All the greyhounds up for adoption are desexed, microchipped, wormed and vaccinated. The dogs also have had regular dental checks and cleans.
All the dogs come with:

- desexing and vaccination certificates,
- a winter jacket,
