About Daisy
Meet Daisy, a bright and sweet little girl who will steal your heart with her bubbly and affectionate nature. She's the perfect companion for someone looking for both liveliness and tranquility. This calm and quiet charmer loves being snuggly and sharing her love with everyone she meets. Daisy's respectful demeanor and confident approach make her an instant delight to be around.
Daisy is a true social butterfly who thrives on companionship and is always keen to say hello to new friends. Whether it's a leisurely walk, a meet-and-greet, or an exciting zoomie session, Daisy embraces every moment with enthusiasm. You'll notice her eagerness through her adorable wriggles, but she settles back down quickly to showcase her respectful behavior. Cuddles are her forte, and she's known to lean in lovingly for them. Offering treats? She's got that down to a respectful art too.
Her gentle spirit makes her a perfect friend for children over five, making her an excellent match for a family or individual looking for a loyal partner. Daisy enjoys the company of other dogs, although she does prefer keeping the spotlight on herself at home.
Daisy is a loose-lead walker, gracefully following your pace, though she tires easily compared with other dogs. During moments of uncertainty, she shines most brightly, looking to you for guidance and quickly gaining confidence with your reassurance.
Whether in an apartment or a small yard, Daisy can adapt and thrive, making her a versatile and loving addition to a variety of living situations. If you're looking for an affectionate and well-mannered companion who effortlessly balances both adventure and calm, Daisy is ready to become your cherished family member.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Daisy has had a portion of her tail amputated due to having reoccurring happy tail that could not be controlled. She has had a dental clean recently and is fully up to date on worming and vaccinations.
Adoption details
Step 1: Please contact Anna Rogers, Dog colony supervisor (anna.rogers@tafesa.edu.au) for an application form.
Step 2: Return the completed application form to Anna Rogers. Once we receive your completed application form along with a minimum of 5 photos of your property showing various views of your backyard covering gates, fences, shelter areas for the greyhound and any other area (i.e. inside the house) the greyhound will be residing in. This is so we can assess your property as safe and suitable for a greyhound and match you to the dog that best suits your environment/lifestyle.
Step 3: We will match you with the dog best suited to your situation and lifestyle.
Step 4: A meet in greet will occur with all family members including any existing pet dogs. If everyone gets along and the application is successful, the dog will then be collected at an agreed later date.
Step 5: Collect the dog and shower them with love!
All the greyhounds up for adoption are desexed, microchipped, wormed and vaccinated. The dogs also have had regular dental checks and cleans.
