About Herb
Herb may only be 6 months old, but his journey so far has been nothing short of extraordinary. At just 12 weeks old, he survived a brutal attack by an adult dog, an ordeal that left him with severe injuries and ultimately led to the amputation of one of his front legs. While his body has healed, the emotional scars have taken more time.
Thankfully, Herb has spent the last few months in a nurturing foster home surrounded by children and other animals, where he's slowly learned that the world can be a safe and loving place. Now, he's ready to take the next step and find a forever home of his own.
Although he's been living with other dogs, Herb has shown he feels most comfortable around people. He would thrive in a home where he's the only dog-or perhaps with one calm, well-adjusted canine companion.
Herb is incredibly affectionate and seeks out closeness and comfort. He loves being cradled like a baby, is relaxed in the car, and happily follows his foster carers around as they go about their day.His favourite things include meeting new people, chasing a ball, and simply being near his humans.
Herb is looking for a home where he will be cherished for the brave, sweet-natured soul he is. In return, he'll offer unwavering loyalty, quiet companionship, and a whole lot of love.
Note: This dog is currently being cared for in a home and when adopted, it will free up a spot to help another dog.
