About Willow
🌿 Meet Willow – The Garden Explorer with a Dash of Sass! 🌿
Willow is a charming standard dachshund with a little extra junk in the trunk and a whole lot of personality. Sweet, a touch sassy, and full of curiosity, she loves nothing more than pottering around the garden, nose to the ground, foraging and sniffing to her heart’s content. After a day of adventure, you’ll find her in full relaxation mode – belly up, snuggled under a blanket, napping like a true professional.
Willow embodies many classic dachshund traits: she's independent, clever, and sometimes a little stubborn. But thanks to the love and guidance of her foster family, she’s made incredible progress. She’s now crate trained and more confident around new people, and she's learning to enjoy socialising with other dogs. Her ‘stranger danger’ instincts have softened over time, and she continues to build trust and skills every day. Please note that Willow is a standard and not a miniature Daxy and weighs 11-12kgs.
🏡 Willow’s Ideal Home
Willow is looking for a calm, confident family with a relaxed lifestyle – somewhere she can continue to grow into the secure, happy dog she’s becoming. A home with previous dog experience would be ideal, as her new family will need to guide her gently and consistently, helping her stay on track with her progress.
While Willow is more resilient when spending time on her own, she’s not yet ready for full days alone. A household with flexible work-from-home arrangements or someone home most of the time would suit her best. She thrives on structure, reassurance, and plenty of time with her humans.
🐾 Willow's Energy Level
Low to moderate – while her legs may be short, her love of adventure runs deep! Willow enjoys daily outings, garden explorations, and quiet sniffari walks. She doesn't need marathon walks, but regular mental and physical stimulation is important to keep her happy and fulfilled.
👨👩👧👦 Children
Willow would do best in a home with older children (12+) who understand how to respect her space and interact calmly. She appreciates gentle handling and a peaceful environment.
🐶 Other Dogs
Willow has experience living in a multi-dog household and can get along well with other dogs. However, when it comes to her personal space, she prefers not to share. For this reason, she would be happiest either as the only dog in the home or with a family who is confident and experienced in managing dog interactions to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.
🐱 Cats & Small Animals
Willow is not suited to a home with cats or other small animals.
💛 The Willow Wrap-Up
Willow is an endearing girl with a big personality tucked inside a long little body. She’s come so far and is ready to find a forever home that understands her quirks and celebrates her progress. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick to share slow mornings, garden wanders, and cosy naps, Willow may just be your perfect match.

All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
