Meet Kailu ♡

A docile young girl with a cheeky spark; making her a beautifully fun new member to have in the family.

While initially apprehensive about setting foot inside; Kailu now doesn't want to be forgotten outside in the cold. Kailu has become accustomed to the warmth of a comfortable bed and the love a gentle hand can provide. She quickly adapts to environments, routines and takes it all in her stride.

Kailu can be weary of strangers and dogs on meeting them but quickly builds trust if approached calmly. Soon after, there will be a warm body and wet nose permanently tucked under your arm or resting on your knee. Sometimes, she offers a little kiss on the chin for good measure or maybe even a nibble!

While not imperative, a doggy friend would be of benefit for a play mate as in her foster home she has met 4 other dogs and enjoys a bit of tug and jaw jousting! She would also be fine as an only dog, as long as her family is willing to provide lots of stimulation, affection and long lasting treats.

Kailu is a massive foodie and if given the opportunity, would graze all day. We think she was a cow in her past life! This food enthusiasm will be of benefit in her training on lead and in the home.

Kailu happily sleeps on a doggy bed or crate overnight and is pretty happy-go-lucky when spending the daytime hours outside. She knows basic commands but further obedience training will be beneficial to integrate her into the home. She has been around kids ranging in age from 4 months to high school and loves to be around them at any given opportunity. She's a real gem who just adores her people once she feels safe.
