Meet Stanley, a dashing young whippet mix with a face to melt your heart. Stanley has a happy disposition that makes him a perfect companion for families and individuals alike.

As you can see in the videos, he's extremely friendly, great with kids - even little ones - and is not bothered by the resident cats. But being a sight hound, he'll probably chase a cat if it runs across his yard.

Stanley is a well-mannered young fella, having mastered the commands sit, stay, and come, reflecting his eager-to-please and keen-to-learn attitude. He walks nicely on leash and, even off leash, he’ll stick close and listen to your directions.

He’s also house-trained and loves a car ride.

The whippet is the unrivalled sprinter of the dog world, able to make hairpin turns at high speed. Stanley adores running fast and having plenty of room to play, making him an ideal match for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle.

He loves playing fetch. He runs like the wind after a ball and brings it back proudly, with a big smile and a waggy tail as if to say “more please”.

Whether it's running at full speed in an open field, competing in agility trials, playing fly ball, participating in lure-coursing or snuggling up on your favorite chair, he balances energy and relaxation with the same poise, just like a mini greyhound.

While he's generally quiet indoors, Stanley will let you know if there's something worth barking at.

Stanley is not just an athlete but also a devoted, affectionate family member and something of a social butterfly. Unlike the typical Whippet, Stanley is a stand out when it comes to people. He's a gentle and loving companion with his family but he's also very friendly to people he meets socially.

Stanley is small enough to fit in your lap but large enough to be a fantastic running partner, making him versatile for different activities.

Stanley could live in most environments, including an apartment, if he gets a good sprint twice a day. Like the greyhound, he's happy to spend much of the day relaxing, as long as he's with you - preferably very close to you - but he needs the chance to run fast every day to feel at peace with the world.

His adventurous spirit, however, does come with one requirement: secure fencing. Stanley’s jumping abilities are quite remarkable, as he can easily sail over a one-metre-high fence, so a securely fenced yard is essential to keep him safe.
