NOTE: You are unable to meet Queenie until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Queenie in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• BREED KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
• Regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs, I am not overly interactive with them but am comfortable in their presence and happy to co exist.
• Prior to arriving at the Shelter I had been roaming for at least 2 weeks in a rural area. It is unknown how I ended up there but I was in flee/flight mode and no one was able to catch me. Luckily I had been hanging around the same area so the rangers set a dog trap up and I eventually went into it. Because of this I must never be walked off leash and I must have a backyard with secure fencing so that I do not find myself in this situation again.

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car

My best features:
• Super snuggly
• Drool queen
• Love laying on the couch for cuddles & getting bum scratches
• Very gentle natured
• I can sit (with some coaxing)
• I am a generally well-mannered girl
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I am very clean in my kennel overnight at the shelter so it wouldn't take long to housetrain me if I'm not already

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I do pull on the lead when out for a walk and will choke myself so will benefit from walking in a harness/halti
