Is it a bird? Is it a plane?

Well yes — it’s me, Jet!

True to my name, I’m jet-black, super speedy, and I’ve got a jet-plane-sized personality to match. I’m an energetic, fun-loving young lad who lives for zoomies and splashing around in water, as well as being a big cuddle bug.

I’m still a bit of a newbie when it comes to the finer things in pet life — toys, treats, and playtime are all exciting new discoveries. But what I do know is that I LOVE people and get along well with humans of all sizes so if there's kids in your family, that's fine with me! I’ll ask for pats, ear scratches, and attention every chance I get — I like to think of myself as a professional pat-seeker.

Over the past few months, I’ve been living with a lovely foster family so I asked them if they would like to say a few words about me. Here’s what they had to say:

‘Jet is a very affectionate boy who becomes extremely excited when family members return home, often zooming around before collapsing onto the floor for pats.

He walks calmly on lead and generally matches the handler’s pace and rarely pulls or freezes. His toilet training is excellent and there are no issues at all there. Jet generally ignores other dogs on walks unless they approach very closely for a sniff.

Jet struggles a bit with alone time and tends to follow us around the house. He may vocalise (howl) if separated, even when people are still in the home, so we are continuing to work on this with him.

Jet is very good with children. He can become excited when first meeting new kids but settles quickly and remains easygoing. He can manage stairs like a champ. No resource guarding or sleep startle has been observed over his time with us.’

I should also add that sometimes other doggos can be a bit much for me so I’d prefer to be your one and only — and honestly, I’d rather soak up all the love for myself!

To make sure everyone is happy, we match each hound with the right family, and we provide lots of support along the way!

All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm (including heartworm) treated. The adoption fee includes our Adopter Kit containing a martingale collar, leash, muzzle and useful information to help you get your new hound settled in.
