Daisy is a busy working girl, she’s not a lazy Daisy, she’s a working line Labrador with all the get up and go that’s required for a day in the field doing all the farm jobs a busy girl must do. This gorgeous girl is no princess, unless she could be a warrior princess! Waiting around, lazing on a couch all day or being stuck in a suburban yard is definitely NOT the life for Daisy. This is not a family pet who is happy sleeping all day to wait for the kids to get home from school.
Daisy would love to learn a job and have a family whose daily life meant she could come along and explore. Water is her happy place and she loves a good romp through any water or puddles. Think farmhand role, or busy activities but she needs fences as she will happily follow her nose off into the sunset!
She has tried her hand at truffle hunting and showed excellent talent and suitability for this type of work.
Daisy likes high energy play with other dogs. In her foster home Daisy has another fit, energetic Labrador to match her play. She is respectful of other dogs but can be a bit over the top at times so needs close management with smaller dogs. Daisy also has dog savvy cats in her foster home and understands the cats are the boss.
Daisy is house trained and travels well in the car. She has basic obedience.
Please note we are looking for the absolute best match for Daisy so we must consider all aspects of the new home. We can only properly consider applicants who complete the application form.
Our adoption process includes a two week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview and a property inspection (as it is vital we rehome our animals to a safe, secure and suitable home).
The adoption fee of $650 assists to cover the costs of desexing, microchip, microchip ownership transfer, flea and worm treatment, vaccinations, and vet check.
Please remember SAFE is run completely by volunteers who will do their very best to contact all applicants either by phone or email.
