Atticus

This is Atticus, and he was rescued from the streets of Preston with his brother Stevie and their mum Lizzie in 2024. Life or humans were not kind to a stray, and Atticus, just a tiny and helpless kitten, was targeted by kids throwing rocks while he and his mum and siblings were simply trying to find food.

Heart & Soul stepped in, and in foster care, Atticus has grown into a healthy young boy with a gentle presence. While still shy and reserved, he has shown signs that with time, patience, and kindness, he has the potential to become a loving and loyal companion.

Atticus is looking for a calm and understanding home that will give him space to build trust at his own pace, without expectations or pressure. He is shy, not aggressive, but to respect his boundaries, he is best suited to an adults-only quiet household with another friendly cat, as he gains confidence from the company of his friends.

Atticus currently shares his foster home with his brother, his mum, and five other cats, and he navigates the shared space skilfully, peacefully, and without any sign of conflict or dominance. With so many cats around, he hasn’t learnt how good cuddles or close contact can be yet, but he is never aggressive and is becoming more and more comfortable with loving human presence. He could learn to share a home with a cat friendly gentle and calm dog.

For the right person and home, Atticus will be an extremely rewarding companion. He needs someone who sees the value in quiet progress, who is willing to offer him a stable environment where he can feel safe enough to trust his human to only mean good things.
