About Elfie
Elfie is a two year old female German Shepherd who was rescued from a Sydney shelter but is now not coping living with a young female dog.
Elfie is the epitome of joy and warmth. She is an incredibly friendly and happy-go-lucky girl eager to bring a smile to your face. With a wonderful disposition, Elfie has a natural affinity for following your lead and is always up for whatever adventures you have in mind.
Whether its a walk through the park, a cozy evening at home, or a playdate with other dogs, she is as adaptable as they come. If you are looking for a loyal companion to join you on outings Elfie is the perfect match.
Elfie will gracefully fit into any lifestyle, offering endless love and happiness to their new family. She has now been socialised with other large breed dogs.
Elfie learns new things quickly and can now sit, drop, shake hands, come and "that will do" to stop barking.
We always recommend to continue training when you take your dog home. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long and is a great way for you to bond with your new dog.
Social with dogs both her size but has not been tested with cats.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you have the commitment to give Elfie a new home, then please click on the link "Enquire about Elfie” and we will send you information about adopting a German Shepherd or go to our website and complete the application form.

If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet her. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing her back to Sydney.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
