About Summer
Hi! My name is Summer 🌞 I’m a gorgeous 15-week-old Kelpie girl with a heart as warm as my name, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home!
I’m sweet, gentle, and absolutely love being around people—pats and cuddles are my favourite!
When I get excited, my whole body wiggles with joy (and it’s pretty cute, if I do say so myself).
I’m easy-going, affectionate, and have a calm nature for a working breed.
I love my toys, especially my ball, and I'm always up for a bit of playtime.
I’m already making great progress with toilet training and happily sleep in my crate at night—but I also love snuggling up on the couch or stretching out on a cosy dog bed.
I’ve been learning basic commands and have started learning to walk on a lead and harness too.
I really enjoy learning new things and would thrive in a home that’s committed to continuing my training.
Like most Kelpies, I’m a clever girl and I love using my brain!
I get along beautifully with other friendly dogs once I’ve had time to say hello, and I absolutely adore my foster doggy sibling—we play together all day long.
I’ve been around cats and sometimes try to chase them, so I’d probably do best in a home without feline friends.
I don’t bark excessively (I haven’t even barked at the postie or visitors!) and I travel really well in the car—usually I just curl up and nap the whole way.
If you’re looking for a bright, loving, and playful pup to grow and adventure with, I could be your perfect match!

Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
