About Misty
🌫️ Meet Misty – The Gentle Queen of Comfort 👑
📍 Location: Botany | 🐾 Age: 1 year
If you’ve been dreaming of a quiet, elegant feline companion to share your cozy moments with—look no further than Misty. This one-year-old longhaired beauty is soft in both fur and nature, with a silky grey coat, dazzling emerald eyes, and a thick, luxurious chest ruff that gives her the look of a little lioness… with lap-cat energy.
Misty is a sweet and gentle soul, with just a hint of diva. She loves nothing more than curling up in a sunny window seat or on a soft pillow, keeping your head warm at night or your lap company during quiet moments.
Misty’s Favourite Things:
🛋️ Sitting on your lap for a snuggle session
🧶 Chasing laser lights and strings
🪟 Perching up high to watch the world go by
Misty is a little reserved at first, but once she trusts you, she becomes your loyal shadow—especially if you offer her a comfy chair, some gentle pats, and a calm environment.
Since coming into foster care, Misty has truly bloomed—becoming more affectionate, outgoing, and confident. She still enjoys her quiet time, but more than anything, she loves being close to her human.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
