About Dora the Explorer!
🐾 Meet Dora the Explorer – Your New Adventure Buddy! 🐾
📍 Currently exploring her foster home… but ready to explore yours next!
👋🏼 Hi, I’m Dora — a 12-week-old tabby girl with a heart full of cuddles and paws full of curiosity. I may not wear a backpack (yet), but I do come fully equipped with confidence, purrs on demand, and a talent for turning every room into an exciting new map to explore!
Just like my namesake, I’m brave, friendly, and always on the move. I love playing with toys, snuggling up for nap time, and giving out smooches like they’re going out of style. If there’s a lap nearby, I’ll find it. If there’s a toy in motion, I’ll chase it. If there’s a snack... well, you better believe I’ll Swiper no swiping it right into my mouth. 😸
I’m the kind of kitten who says “¡Vámonos!” to life — I’m up for anything, whether it’s climbing cat trees, curling up in cozy corners, or charming every human I meet. I get along great with cats, kids, and even those big barky things you call dogs. If your home is loving and a little adventurous, we’re probably the purrrfect match.
🗺️ Could I be your new sidekick?
Let’s explore this big, cuddly world together. (Bonus points if you sing the map song when it’s time to feed me.)
🎒Comes with unlimited purrs, a soft tabby coat, and more love than you can fit in a backpack.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
