About Sam
Meet Sam – The Fearless Cuddlebug
Sam came into DCH care after a change in her previous owner's circumstances meant she and her three feline companions were sadly surrendered. Born on 8 October 2023, Sam is the youngest of the group — a confident little adventurer who's now searching for a forever home where she can continue to thrive and be loved.
Sam is a petite black-and-white tuxedo with golden eyes and a glossy coat she keeps pristine with regular grooming. She’s sassy, cheeky, and loves to explore every nook and cranny of her environment. Whether she’s climbing to the highest perch of the cat tree or chasing her feline friends in a game of tag, Sam is full of spark and confidence. Despite her playful nature, she adores human affection and will happily curl up in your arms for a deep, trusting nap.
Sam is litter-trained (especially neat with pellet litter), loves her wet and dry food, and is very respectful of furniture, shoes, and clothes. She’s a clean girl who takes pride in looking her best. Her favourite pastimes include chasing feathers, batting plush toys, and pouncing on balls — followed by a well-earned snooze on a comfy cushion or your lap. Light on her feet and a natural high-jumper, she’s athletic but never destructive.
Sam would be a beautiful match for singles, couples, or families. She enjoys the company of other cats and would flourish in a home where she has space to explore, companionship to keep her stimulated, and a human to snuggle with at the end of the day. She has been desexed, microchipped, and received her first vaccination — ready to start her next chapter.
If you're looking for a cat with confidence, affection, and a hint of cheeky charm, Sam is waiting to meet you!
