About Xena
Meet Xena, a one-year-old dynamo packed full of affection and joy, eager to find a new family to share her energy and enthusiasm for life with. This playful gal is a bundle of joy who adores squeaky toys, splashing around in the creek, and making new doggy and human friends. After a day full of play, Xena loves nothing more than cuddling up on the couch for a cozy movie nap, proving she is just as much a snuggle bug as she is a playmate.
Xena is currently excelling in obedience training, mastering her basic commands with style. She would thrive in a household committed to continuing her training journey, as she loves showing off her skills and needs a bit of guidance to stay focused, especially when out and about where all the exciting smells and sights can be distracting. Xena is also a budding road trip companion, handling car rides like a pro.
Brimming with affectionate energy, Xena would love to have another canine companion to romp around with, as she doesn't enjoy being left on her own for too long. Known to indulge in a bit of chewing if boredom strikes, a furry friend would keep her playful spirit satisfied. Off-leash, Xena is a social butterfly with other dogs; however, on-leash, her enthusiasm sometimes manifests in excited pulls and high-pitched barks. Calm reassurance and positive guidance make all the difference, helping her navigate her big emotions.
Despite having mild elbow dysplasia, Xena doesn't let it slow her down. With the right supplements and plenty of love, she maintains a spirited lifestyle full of play and exploration, simply sneaking in more rest between her play sessions.
Xena thrives best in a home with a large, secure yard where she can explore, stretch her legs, and embrace her playful energy. An ideal family for her would have older kids and no cats, as her herding instincts may kick in around smaller animals.
If you're seeking an adventure-loving, loyal, and loving companion, Xena is eager to step into that role in your life. Ready to meet her new best friend, she can't wait to embark on countless escapades and swap cuddles with you!
Medical notes
Mild elbow dysplasia - managed well with supplements and anti-inflammatory medication and rest after play.
