About Darby
Meet Darby, an active, intelligent Border Collie with all the classic charm and herding instincts of her breed. She's bright, alert, and always ready for a job to do. Darby thrives on activity and mental engagement, and she's searching for a home that can keep up with her keen mind and energetic spirit.
Darby is best suited to an experienced household that understands working-breed needs. Her strong herding drive means she's not suitable for homes with cats or small animals. She will need access to a secure yard with high fencing (at least 1.8m or higher) and no objects near the fence that she could use to climb or boost herself over. She will benefit greatly from ongoing training and plenty of enrichment activities that will help keep her busy.
For an active, knowledgeable adopter ready to embrace her enthusiasm and intelligence, Darby will be an incredibly rewarding companion.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
