About Checkers
Meet Checkers, a sweet, gentle boy with an irresistibly charming personality. His dad is a Pomeranian, mum is a tiny Fox Terrier.
At just over 4 months old and weighing 2.2 kilos, Checkers is keen to explore the world and play with the other pups in his foster home. Then he’s up for a cuddle and a nap on a warm lap.
What stands out is his sweetest nature - when the other pups get up to some rough play and Checkers is in the middle of it, he stays calm and non defensive.
He’s very much a playful boy without being too intrusive or overbearing.
He walks quite well on a lead and is no trouble in the car. He enjoys a brushing and a bath.
Checkers was a good boy at the vets, calmly waiting his turn - the vet commented on his quiet demeanour.
When Checkers met the cats in his foster home, he barely batted an eyelid and didn’t dream of harassing them.
Checkers is in care at Tamworth NSW. If you are the successful adopter you would need to drive to Tamworth to collect him (though I am prepared to drive for an hour to meet you) or arrange transport.

We are interested in your family situation (who is in your family) their work/study hours, how long the dog would be left alone during a typical week.
Other pets - in most cases we look favourably on a home with an existing dog or the likelihood of adding another dog at a later stage.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
