About Jessie (On Trial)
On trial 24/9/11. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly ellie and izzy. . . Jessie is a 1 year old kelpie x (possibly border collie?) female. She is very friendly and just wants to be by your side. She is very clever and can shake hands. Jessie also knows some basic obedience (she sits, comes when called (off the lead), waits for dinner, drops and walks well on a lead). Jessie’s a very pretty pup, and is still very much like a young teenager: (i. E. Active and can be a bit boisterous at times – but she is learning not to jump up, but still gets very excited) and she seems to learn things very quickly. . . . She is medium to large sized (athletic build – slim, tall and muscular). She gets on well with my other dog. She would love to be part of an active household, and will be a very devoted and loyal companion, who just wants to please. Being a very intelligent girl, i’m sure she would love the opportunity for further obedience training, or even agility, where i think she would excel. . . . She sleeps indoors of a night-time and is outside during the day, so she can run around with my other kelpie. Jessie loves her food, and is safe to handle with her food, bones, etc. She loves nothing better than to play with my kelpie: with a toy in her mouth, she runs around the yard playing chasings – and my kelpie loves chasing her! jess can get a bit upset when i leave her in the morning when i go to work (that makes me a bit sad), except that i give each dog a bone, or a pigs ear, and it tends to settles them. . . I think she would appreciate the company of another dog if she was to be left alone all day (although that’s probably not the ideal environment for any dog). I’m not sure how she would go with small animals (as i don’t have any), but i think that being a kelpie x border collie, her herding instinct is quite strong, so she may be better going to a home without small pets (like rabbits, guinea pigs). . . She is an adorable dog who just wants to be with you and would love the chance to become a lifetime friend to someone who can appreciate her intelligence and loyal devotion. . . Dog rescue newcastle www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation.
