Meet Drake!

A lovable, affectionate pup with a heart of gold and a serious love for snuggles! Drake is the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side (or preferably in your lap), soaking up all the love and attention you're willing to give.

He has no concept of personal space and we mean that in the best way possible! He will happily curl up beside you for a nap, lean into cuddles, or follow you from room to room just to be close.

Despite his love for affection, Drake does need a gentle and understanding home of secondary school aged children or adults that are willing to go slow when it comes to handling. He can be a little unsure in new situations and may need some extra time to feel fully comfortable with things like grooming or sudden movements.
A calm and patient environment will help him build confidence and trust at his own pace.

Drake may be suited to a home with another calm, well mannered dog who can help show him the ropes and provide companionship without overwhelming him. He's also likely to thrive in a home with secondary school aged children who are respectful of his space and capable of interacting with him in a calm, gentle way.

With the right support, Drake's sweet personality really shines through. He's affectionate, loyal, and full of potential. If you're looking for a loving companion who will give you unconditional affection and become your shadow, Drake might just be the perfect addition to your family.

Any children or resident canines will need to meet him at the shelter before he can go home!
