About Maple
Meet Marmalade! This sweet girl came into care with her sister Maple. Maple is the more confident of the two sisters when it comes to meeting new people. She’ll be the first to say hello and is perfectly happy lounging beside you on the couch, quietly soaking up your presence. While she enjoys gentle pets, she prefers not to be picked up, she’s an independent spirit with firm but polite boundaries. Like her sister, Maple has a playful side and finds joy in the simple things: a good feather wand, a crunchy paper bag, or chasing a cork across the floor. She’s affectionate in a calm, grounded way, ideal for someone who appreciates quiet companionship. Maple would thrive in a home with older or mature children who respect her space. She can be adopted with her sister Marmalade or on her own, provided she has a loving, respectful environment to call her own. Maple will need to remain indoors to keep her safe from outside dangers. Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
