About Felix
Meet Felix, the seven‑year‑old sun‑worshipping cuddle connoisseur who lives life at cloud-nine chill: picture him draped over his favorite cushy bed or sun‑lit sill, eyes half‑closed in pure relaxation-and the moment you approach, he transforms into a velvet‑pawed maestro of affection.
He demands (and deserves!) chin rubs, ear scratches, and gentle pats like they're sacred treasures, and he greets every attention‑giver with a soft meow and purring serenade. Amazingly laid‑back and unfazed, Felix gets along splendidly with other cats too-he's no diva, just a mellow socialite who welcomes company as long as it stays
relaxed.
He's the epitome of sweet serenity, whisker‑twitching contentment, and affectionate sunshine, ready to fill your home with calm vibes and plush bliss-all you need to do is follow the bribe of a warm beam
or a comfy pillow.
To book a meet and greet appointment with Felix, please reach out to BARC on 5441-2209 or via e-mail at barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
