Meet Stella,
In case you're wondering - yes, Stella did just wake up from her nap when we took her photos. She was less than impressed and attempted to go back to sleep mid shoot!
Stella is a quiet, gentle soul who’s perfectly suited to a calm and peaceful home. She’s the kind of girl who knows what she likes - soft blankets, filtered sunbeams, and long, uninterrupted naps. (Fair warning: she might give you a mildly offended look if you wake her too early. Her beauty sleep is serious business!)
This independent lady is friendly in her own quiet way. She enjoys your company, but also values her "me-time". She’ll happily come over for a little pat or chin scratch - when she’s in the mood. Aloof? Maybe a little. Endearing? Absolutely!
Stella is curious by nature and likes to take her time when it comes to play and interaction. New toys? Interesting, kind of... That thing you just waved at her? Hmm… maybe later. But that bed? Sign her up right now!
She would be a great match for first-time cat owners who appreciate a laid-back vibe and aren’t expecting a lap cat 24/7. Stella’s ideal home is calm, quiet, and full of comfy spots to lounge in. If you’re looking for a cool, calm, slightly sassy house mate who brings charm and chill wherever she naps - Stella’s your girl.
Stella is open to meet kids of any age but children in the home should be understanding of her desire to live in a calm and quiet home (and her love of sleep). She enjoys being picked up, carried and cuddled - she's very relaxed and doesn't mind. She also likes to be patted and touched everywhere - in her eyes, any attention is good attention!
Stella is not suitable to live with dogs as they scare her.
Stella is not suitable to live with cats as she prefers to be the only cat in the home.
As for cats, again, we haven't really be able to test how he would go living with another cat. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Stella has already experienced living outside but she's very happy being an inside cat - she also has white ears and a pink nose which means she is more susceptible to sun/UV related health conditions. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat she can live her best life and remain healthy and safe.
Stella has low range energy levels & doesn't appear to be that interested in toys but she does really like, no she LOVES a comfy, warm bed to call her own and relax in - she loves to nap!
Stella is not fussy with her food. She is known to eat any food offered to her, she likes treats too, but is not super food motivated.
Staff Comments: Stella is a very quiet and chilled out young cat. She spends most of her time curled up on need and snoozing. Although she gets mildly offended when you wake her up, we think that this is such a unique character trait and we adore her sense of humour as it is such a human response. Stella is loving, independant and very easy going.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
