Meet Your New Best Mate - A Handsome 5-Year-Old Labrador Retriever
Looking for a loyal sidekick with the heart of a retriever and the soul of a couch companion? Look no further than this gorgeous black Labrador-a 5-year-old gent who once dabbled in competition retrieving but quickly decided he'd much rather chase tennis balls than feathers.
This beautiful boy is ball-obsessed (in the best way)-green, furry, round, and bouncing is his love language. He retrieves like a pro, gently placing the ball back in your hand with pride and precision. No ball left behind, and this boy MUST retrieve and save any ball that you have carelessly discarded.
He's not just a looker-he's a clever, eager-to-please guy with all the basic training under his collar. He lives for human connection and is bursting out of his skin to bond with someone who will return his loyalty tenfold. This is a dog who wants to be part of your day, your errands, your chores, your quiet evenings-and your heart.
Although he's hung up his feather duster days, he still likes a job to do. Whether it's being your trusty bin assistant, a sympathetic ear, or even your personal fridge butler (if you're up to the training challenge!), he thrives when he's included and appreciated.
The ideal home:
Active, engaging, and loving
Children 10+ (he's great, just a bit bouncy!)
A home where he's more than "just the dog"-he wants to be a contributing family member
If you've been waiting for a partner, a teammate, a tail-wagging shadow who's ready to turn every walk, game of fetch, or lazy Sunday into something special, this boy may be the little black dog you've been dreaming of.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
