About Mahlee
Meet the Fabulous Diva Mahlee , Your Sassy Cuddly Shadow with a Whole Lot of Love to Give.
Mahlee is a seven-year-old English Bulldog with the heart of a snuggle bug and the sass of a queen.
Mahlee was bounced out of the pound by the rescue, and she has just delighted everyone she meets!
Mahlee is loyal, quirky, and full of charm, and while she may not win any marathons, she’ll happily win your heart.
Mahlee is the kind of girl who will follow you from room to room, settling wherever you are, and insist that bedtime means she's tucked up on your bed, snoring softly with a paw lovingly draped across your leg, arm, face, back...really anybody part of her foster family, As long as she's touching, gotta be touching her humans!
Mahlee is toilet trained and will head outside when prompted. While Mahlee hasn’t used a doggy door in her current foster home, we are sure she'd work it out pretty fast if given the chance.
Mahlee is a clever girl who knows how to make her needs known, as for crate life, Mahlee has politely declined and has voted that she will sleep with her humans on their bed.
Mahlee will also happily sleep on your couch, on a dog bed, on any spot she deems comfy and
She has the typical English Bulldog sensitivities when it comes to skin and tummy and benefits greatly from simple, consistent care.
Her foster family recommends PetzPark probiotics to help keep her feeling her best. With regular grooming and a little bit of maintenance, Mahlee is a happy, healthy, wiggly delight.
Mahlee’s energy level is just right, not too much, not too little. She’s a happy mix of a Sassy Diva couch snuggler and backyard ball-chaser. When the mood strikes, she’ll get the zoomies and do hilarious barrel rolls across the grass. Then it’s straight back to her number one passion: snuggling. She’s quiet most of the time, but if you accidentally leave her outside, she’ll absolutely let you know with a bark that says, "Excuse me human, I belong on the inside, preferably near your feet"!
She absolutely adores children, especially her current foster family’s children, who are Ages 4 and 10. That said, she is built like a little bowling ball and may unintentionally knock over tiny humans in her excitement. For this reason, a home with bulldog-savvy children is a must!
Mahlee is confident, affectionate, and totally in love with her humans.
While Mahlee enjoys the occasional supervised playdate with other dogs, she much prefers to live as the one and only Sassy Diva, Queen of her castle.
Mahlee has a dominant personality and likes to be the star of her own show, so a pet-free home is the best fit for her. Mahlee has lived previously with a cat but gave enough side eye that both were kept separated.
When it comes to sleeping arrangements, Mahlee has a very specific requirement: You and your bed, and not just on your bed, ideally touching you, or even half on top of you if you let her.
Mahlee definitely Is a Sassy Diva who loves to snuggle up with you on the bed and absolutely must be touching you at night, whether it’s her head on your pillow or her whole body pressed up against yours.
In saying that, Mahlee settles beautifully at night, barely moves until morning, and has perfected the art of the bulldog Queen sprawl.
During the day, Mahlee will happily nap in whatever sunny patch or soft surface that is closest to her humans.
Mahlee walks beautifully on a harness and enjoys a gentle 30-minute stroll, taking in the smells and sights of the world at her own leisurely pace. She doesn’t pull, doesn’t get distracted, and is generally a joy to walk. Her idea of exercise is more about the experience than the distance.
Mahlee’s personality is equal parts cheeky Diva, charming and totally lovable!
When someone she loves comes home, she springs to life, zooming around the house in gleeful circles before settling in for snuggles. Mahlee will chase balls but doesn’t see the point of bringing them back. She prefers toys, cuddles, and a soft blanket more than high-energy play.
She seems to especially gravitate toward males, showing a special bond with her foster dad and even her foster uncle during visits. She would be the perfect fit for a retired couple, an older companion, or a stay-at-home parent with kids who understand how to love and respect a Queen Bea like Mahlee.
This sweet, sassy diva has so much love to give and just wants someone to love her back. If you have space on your bed, a soft spot on your couch, and an open heart for a wiggly, snuggly girl, who will follow you to the ends of the house and back again, then Mahlee is ready and waiting to meet you.
