About Bambi
Meet Bambi the pup with legs too long for her body & could pass as a baby deer! 🌺🦌
Sweet Bambi is still a puppy at only 7 months old so she tends to display all the fun puppy behaviours such as chewing toys, crazy zoomies and scoffing food. She arrived to the pound as an underweight stray and because of this she can be food aggressive towards other animals although with humans she’s okay. Due to her loving food so much and being a deep chested breed, its advised that she’s fed her meals in a slow feeder bowl to prevent bloating.
Bambi hasn’t seen much of the world and although is very curious out on walks she’s still learning how to be a dog, she’s afraid of her reflection and is slowly understanding that walks are fun and being attached to a lead means zoomie power is reduced. Bambi loves her toys and any enrichment activity with food involved will sure keep her busy.
She has met many dogs at the facility, and she does prefer dogs her size or larger, as she doesn’t know her size well enough to safely play with the small dogs, her long legs make her very clumsy and also very quick when playing and chasing other dogs. Being a greyhound mix of course small fluffy creatures are fun to chase and we feel she’s best suited to a home without cats, pocket pets and ideally the dog in the home is her size or larger as she does love to wrestle when playing.
Being a greyhound mix she also has a lazy side and after shes had a big play, brought all the toys back to her bed and exhausted the humans she will happily lounge around and watch tv with you. She is very smart and also knows how to sit and wait for her food, stay and lay down and has so much potential to learn new tricks too.
Overall shes the perfect mix of zoomie fun, lounge lizard and loyal mate. She is currently 20kgs and we feel she may grow larger in her next 5 months of growing, her cross breed is unknown, but the long snoot and whippy tail does indicate she is a greyhound mixed with brindle cuteness. Her Adoption fee is $450 this includes her desexing, vaccination, flea/worming and NSW registration. Call today on 1300 735 025 to book in a meet!
