About Ivy
Introducing Ivy – Smart cookie with a big heart! 💚
Meet Ivy, a bright and bubbly pup with a sparkle in her eyes and a wag in her tail! This clever girl is already mastering the art of being a perfect companion, she’s playful, smart, and listens like a dream. Ivy has learned to sit, is mostly toilet trained, and uses the doggie door like a pro.
She’s a huge fan of fluffy beds, snuggly blankets, and anything that squeaks or rolls. Balls and toys bring out her happiest zoomies! Ivy’s also a total social butterfly, having formed sweet bonds with two kids, two cats, and an older dog in her current foster home. She sleeps peacefully through the night and walks beautifully on lead, loving every minute of an outdoor adventure. Mealtime is a highlight of her day, especially when there’s chicken or ham involved!
This little warrior has already faced and beaten parvo with incredible resilience, and now she’s ready to set down roots and grow with you. 🌱
Thinking of Adopting a Puppy? 🐾
Bringing home a puppy is exciting—but it’s also a big responsibility. Training is just as essential as food, water, and shelter. A well-trained pup is easier to live with and far more enjoyable to be around. Start training early—puppies are quick learners! Focus on basic commands like sit, stay, and come, using consistency, repetition, and plenty of praise or treats to reinforce good behavior.
Training also helps with socialisation, teaching your pup how to interact calmly with people and other animals. Once fully vaccinated, regular exercise will also help burn off energy and encourage positive behavior. As your pup grows, you can explore more advanced training like tricks or agility—it’s great mental stimulation and a fun way to bond.
With patience, consistency, and lots of love, you’ll set your puppy up for a happy, well-adjusted life by your side. 🐶❤️

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:
1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.
2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.
3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.
4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.
